#0066 - Pegasus

Story behind
Pegasus is a huge painting. And I’ve had it for a long, long time.
I painted it in lots of different places. Sometimes I painted in my studio, sometimes outside in the woods, and sometimes somewhere completely different.
And when we went on trips, I wanted to take Pegasus with me so I could keep painting. That wasn’t always easy for my parents. Pegasus is BIG!
Little by little, I added more colors and more marks. Pink, yellow, blue, and green all went on top of each other. Some colors are still easy to see. Others are hiding underneath.
I like that. A painting doesn’t have to be finished all at once. I can paint a little, leave it for a while, and come back to it later.
And then one day, I looked at the painting and suddenly I saw him: Pegasus!
I didn’t have to think about the name. I just knew. I could see him between all the colors and marks, almost like he had just appeared.
The funny thing is, everyone sees different things in my paintings. Maybe you can see Pegasus, too. Or maybe you see something completely different. And that’s okay.
